Good Value for a Family Stay in Melbourne
Positive: We stayed at the Imagine Lighthouse Apartment on Elizabeth Street, located on the 10th floor, and it was a great option for our family of 6. While the unit isn't spacious, it was comfortable and functional for our needs. The location is a real plus, with plenty of supermarkets and eateries within walking distance.
The host was very attentive and made sure we had a smooth check-in. He guided us on how to use the elevator, personally brought us to the unit, and showed us around, explaining how everything worked, which made us feel welcomed and well taken care of.
The beds were comfy, and the wardrobes were large enough to keep our clothes organized for the 5-day stay. We particularly appreciated the hanging iron—such a convenient touch for keeping our shirts and pants wrinkle-free. Another highlight was the Dyson fan, which also has a heating option—perfect for chilly nights.
The two corner bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, letting in lots of natural light. In the morning, the blackout curtains do an excellent job of blocking out any light, ensuring a restful sleep.
The two bathrooms were clean, well-maintained, and sufficiently stocked with toiletries (except for toothpaste, which is fairly standard). The smart TV was a nice bonus, allowing us to watch Netflix when we wanted to unwind. The sofa, however, wasn’t big enough for our whole group, but we moved a few benches from the room to sit together comfortably.
For those planning to cook, the kitchen is functional but could use some improvement in terms of cookware. The pots and pans weren’t in great condition, so we had to borrow a few from a nearby friend. It would be great if the host could improve this. However, overall the kitchen was still very usable for meals.
Despite the small issues with the kitchenware, we still recommend this place. It's a cost-effective choice for families looking to stay in a central part of Melbourne.
Negative: It has been mentioned in the review above.
